Is it true that your purse really does say something about you and your personality? I think so. Think about it, I know my purses always have lots of organizational factors, like special pockets here and there, tons of compartments. That is because I am a neat freak, yes I admit it, I am. I like everything to be in its place and there are few things I hate more than not being able to find what I am looking for.

Some women like the loud and flashy bags and these women are usually ones who like attention and who like to be a little out there. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I just happen to be very jealous of it! I always wanted to be one of those girls who could wear anything and pull it off, but I was too self conscious most of the time, thus the solid and toned down styles of most of my handbags.

I have really been trying to get past this block, I think that we all need to do it and handbags are a great place to start. There are so many fabulous styles out there, metallic purses and clutches, rainbow fabrics and some pretty wicked abstract styles.

You should choose handbags that suit you and your personality but does that mean that you cannot grow as a person? That you cannot climb out of the purse corner you have backed yourself into? Of course not! The best way to get out of this rut is to jump out fast. Go and buy a wicked hot purse, one that you never would have thought of buying before but that you absolutely ADORE. Do it do it do it! Seriously it is fun!

Metallic purses are some of my favorites! I love their slinky sexy feel and the way that they really perk up any outfit. It’s neat that we are finally starting to see the metallic materials make it into fashion a little more this season. You can really pull off these handbags even in the clubs now, not just at fancy formal evenings out with hubby.

Have you seen the Lauren Merkin Eve Metallic Clutch yet? It’s hot! It is a great size (4 1/2″H x 9 1/2″W x 1/2″D), which allows me to take just what I need with me without having to leave anything behind. It isn’t bulky at all though and just the right length.

The gathered body is what gives it such personality and style and let’s face it, you really cannot go wrong with Italian lambskin. It is so soft and lovely and the top snaps so nothing will get out unless you want it to. It even has a full fabric lining, that really shows its class if you ask me.

I like it, and it is really important that all of us girls have a good evening clutch in their wardrobe. You gotta have at least one or your outfits are really going to suffer. Who needs jewelry when they have a pretty metallic handbag? Not me!

I don’t know if Osgoode Marley is related to Music Legend, Bob Marley. But I do know on thing, Osgoode Marley makes great handbags. This Cashmere Handbag Collection Dollop Bag is no exception.

Unlike most of the bag that are reviewed on this site, this bag is under $100.00 and great buy! On some sites, some Internet stores are even selling OM handbags in discontinued colors. The bag is made in velvety cashmere leather that is found throughout the bag. I like the orchid color the best although the colors green and purple are just as nice!

My favourite thing about purse shopping is to hold a magnificent new bag and imagine the outfit or situation that would best compliment it. Sometimes it will be me looking my best, or my favourite star of the day doing something glamorous, or even a fictional person with the perfect features and life to suit the bag. But sometimes, and this is very rare, I come across something that no matter how deep I search, I can’t find a home for it.

This is a hobo from the Coach Hampton collection. This bag is wrong. It’s just wrong. The country look is cute. I’m all for the odd hoedown accessory strategically placed. But I cannot think of anyone or anything that could make this bag look good. It belongs on a frumpy woman with jeans and a jean jacket teetering black scuffy thick heels in a strip mall. Except she wouldn’t pay the $398 for it. It’s like a nightmare Coach knock off. Can you see it anywhere good? Can this bag have a proper home?

Every good shopper knows that when you find something that is just perfect you pick it up in every colour and variation you can find. It’s just depressing when your favourite sweater is at the cleaners and you have a date. The same rule holds true for bags. The first time I saw this little gem it was the colour that drew me in.

This is the Coach Legacy Leather Flap that retails for $278. I am a true girly girl who loves all things pink. At the same time I am also a grown woman trying to present a sophisticated image, which rules pink wardrobe items out . . . most of the time.

This gorgeous bag is the deep pink hue that makes me think of elegance rather than bubble gum. As I held her in my hands (she is very, very soft by the way) I noticed what a great pair she made with my chocolate brown jacket. I could also see her spicing up an all black outfit.

The soft lines of this bag ensure that it can match any pair of jeans, while its small stature and graceful details allow it to flow seamlessly into evening wear. The removable handle is also an awesome feature because it allows the bag to function as a clutch. In a season full of stiff paten, the soft supple nature of this bag is a welcome change.
