Now, about the clothes. Karl looks, well, pretty much the same as he always does, while Keira’s Chanel ensemble, a black top and patterned skirt accented by a fetching quilted black handbag, is pretty darn chic. Not feeling the new bangs, but I’m sure Karl can whip her up an amazing Chanel headband to see her through that painful growing-out period.

Make room on that Dior bandwagon for Mischa Barton! The starlet was also spied at the Paris couture shows with her ultra-glam Lady Dior handbag in tow, paired with a monochromatic Sienna-Miller-meets-A-Clockwork-Orange ensemble. It’s a little overstyled, but I like the bowler. And really, she could be wearing a frock from the sales rack at Forever 21 and still look fab with that divine Lady Dior.

Since spring and summer will be all about neon (and trust me, we can use the color since we all look pale as our stocks are depleted on a daily basis), look for a neutral bag that will be able to keep up with your neon pink Alexander Wang racerback as well as your citrus green Milly frock. This Jimmy Choo Ramona Shopper in Mauve Patent hits on two ace trends for SS 09 - neutral and patent. It will look smart with a suit for work, and just as stylish for drinks after. While I’m not sure the bag is “mauve” at all (it looks far more grey to me), it certainly will go with everything in your wardrobe and add a shot of beauty to a shelf of black bags. The added hardware is a little dangerous, and actually looks pretty cool. If you told me they were putting more hardware on a Ramona, I would have cried, but this works.

Uh-oh. Do I sense a new It bag coming on? It bags no longer scream with logos or super bulky hardware, and the new Chloe Shelby bag is consistent with that tone. It’s the same tote that we just saw Kim Kardashian carrying as she went to work out last week. The bag is a decent size, and would make an ideal work and travel tote for those of us who have to carry something more conservative to the office and meetings. I’m always a fan of vegetable dyed leather (it adds character to otherwise boring bags a lot of the time) and the hardware on the sides is just enough to let ‘em know it’s a pricey bag without showing off like Kimora at the airport. Something about pearlized leather always reels me right in. This pretty coral Versace Crocodile Embossed Shopper is a gleaming example, although even without the pearlescent finish I’m sure I’d be craving it. It’s obviously made for spring and looks like something I’d add to my must-have list if I knew I could get away with carrying coral throughout the year. Unfortunately, coral is one of those fickle shades that only works with a small percentage of my wardrobe. Though it’s stunning, it wouldn’t be a wise choice for me. It seems to be popular to design these “bag within a bag” styles lately. I’m no fan of this Marc by Marc Jacobs Sporty Lock Tote for that very reason. Sure, it’s unusual and will probably turn heads, but it’s not very attractive. The gray, nude and silver color combination is downright bizarre - you only need to check out the nude pockets on the metallic outer bag to understand what I mean. It’s somewhat spacious, but all the room in the world wouldn’t convince me to buy this one. Available for $458 at PlazaToo.

The Roberto Cavalli Leather Shopper is gorgeous and functional. Wear it with all white while on vacation, and with dark denim and cute sundresses when you’re in the city. The braided handles add a nice detail to the purse, and the squishy, oversized leather is super sumptuous. I’m not usually a fan of big and bright bags, but the slouchy body on this one make it a little less dramatic thus, more wearable. And remember that yellow isn’t just for spring and summer. The color translates perfectly for those transition months in the fall.

I am such a sucker for blush handbags. The color is gorgeous, versatile, and very unexpected in the sea of black and brown bags that most of us reach for when it comes to spending our hard earned dollars on designer purses. The Dolce & Gabbana Miss Biz Woven Leather Dome Satchel is one of those blush bags that makes me go wow, and I am not a Dolce girl! I could do without the woven leather (it makes the bag look too specific to warmer weather), but other than that I am all about the structured shape, cool minimal silver hardware and of course, the delicious soft pink color.
