When I first saw this bag, I was all set to snap it up based on its reasonable price. Then I saw that it was designed by Danielle Nicole and immediately a mantra started going through my head: “Please don’t be made of jelly, please don’t be made of jelly.” Lo and behold, the Sienna Satchel is indeed made of the famous eighties-reject material. I have to admit it’s one of the more chic creations fashioned from that most dubious of materials, but I still wouldn’t splurge on it. Available for $88 at Piperlime.

True works of art, Kotur handbags define creativity with their unusual aesthetics, complex color combinations, and incredibly imaginative designs. There’s almost no other way to introduce the label’s Resort 2013 lineup. It’s one of the most extravagant I can remember, which is really saying something given how many handbags I look at daily. Check these amazing pieces and tell me you don’t agree wholeheartedly.

Possibly one of the prettiest bags I have EVER seen, the Espey Marguerite Clutch is lavishly decorated with 3-D floral accents over a brilliant pink backdrop (the wee butterfly is a super cute touch, too). I can’t remember the last time I was so charmed by a bag! Though this is definitely made for evening wear, I’d defy convention and take it along to the grocery store just to make those mundane experiences a bit more glam.

Talk about quirky! The Pink Snow Globe Clutch works pinky jelly into its design as if it’s the most normal thing in the world. The effect here is totally cool – kind of artsy-meets-glamorous, with a playful feel that is captured well by the neon pink color. The crystal topper adds a touch of lavish elegance to the mix, making it acceptable (if a bit unexpected) for your evening excursions.

Just about everyone seems to adore Furla‘s fantastic jelly bags, which have a habit of injecting an outfit with a pop of vivid color and plenty of happy-go-lucky charm. It’s really no wonder, then, that the label has built on the look’s popularity and introduced different versions of it over the past year or so. The new Candy Rubber Satchel isn’t translucent like the jellies, but is made with a similar material and is just as playful as its predecessor. I prefer this version for its opacity, mainly, and because it shows off intense, glossy red – the kind you wish you could pull off on your lips every day of the year – with ease.
