Bottega Veneta Large Woven Hobo
| By: Michelle B. | ||
The moment I laid eyes on this Bottega Veneta Large Woven Hobo, I wanted to make it mine. Then I saw the crazy price tag ($1,980), and I figured it was way too much for a basic bag. But the leather is crazy soft, the colors are gorgeous, and this isn’t a purse you’re going to toss after a season or two. What do you gals think? Is almost $2K too much to spend on a plain, basic hobo? Available at Saks Fifth Avenue for $1,980.

It took me a couple of years to like these bags and I must agree the price is very steep but I think it is because they want to limit their sales to an upper echelon market. That said, I now look @ the BV Veneta as a classic, that if well taken care of, can become an heirloom. I hope to acquire one in the near future!
I adore Bottega. They are so well constructed and the styles timeless. They are pricey, so I consider them an investment piece. Rather than getting the latest “it” color, you can always go for a nice brown or black and it will never go out of style. I don’t find any Bottega bag plain at all. The woven leather and construction make them stand out, and they don’t ruin the looks with flashy, tacky logos. Go for it!
