There were lots of stunning gowns (and dazzling clutches!) on the Golden Globes red carpet, and if the event is any indication, white and ethereal dresses are going to be a big spring trend. Starlets like Kate Winslet, Drew Barrymore, Kyra Sedgwick, Ali Larter, and Jennifer Garner looked heavenly in white or off-white (Drew’s dress was a very soft shade of pink) gowns. By contrast, stars like Penelope Cruz, Eva Longoria, and Katherine Heigl went dark in glam, ruffly black and navy gowns. It looks like flashy fabrics and prints are on the way out.
