SAG Awards Fashion: The Worst
| By: Erin D. | ||

Ladies, ladies, ladies. You have millions of dollars, personal stylists, and folks like Karl Lagerfeld throwing gowns at your feet. And somehow you decided to show up looking like you raided the bridesmaid dress closet from hell? Tsk, tsk. Between an overdose of cleavage, ho-hum gowns, and an alarming trend of dresses having a spaghetti strap on one side and a sleeve on the other (no! pick one!), there were lots of duds to choose from. But these are the not-so-lucky ladies who really took bad style to a new level. First up is Melora Hardin from “The Office” – a fellow Dallas native and truly gorgeous woman – who apparently opted to wear my mom’s prom dress from 1974. Did Dwight put her up to this? The pale blue color does nothing for her, and the chiffon sleeves and long length scream “Carrie.” Next is Ellen Pompeo, who, though I give her points for trying something edgy, wound up looking like a “Star Trek” extra. Her gown’s flowing fabric overpowered her tiny frame, and the metal neckpiece was too harsh. Finally, Sandra Oh’s lacy gown was ruined by an odd “third eye” bauble in the middle and a hoop skirt-like bottom. This is LA, not Tara, Sandra. Ironically, all three women won ensemble acting awards, which will hopefully soothe their wounds when they read next week’s “Fashion Police.”
