Paris Runway Report: Christian Dior Couture
| By: Erin D. | ||

A peek at Christian Dior designer John Galliano’s recent Netflix profile would surely reveal lots of “Memoirs of a Geisha.” Geisha chic ruled the runway at Dior’s Paris couture show, with puffy sleeves, silk prints, cherry blossom embroidery, and tons of ruffles appeared in a rainbow of candy-coated colors. The collection also featured sleeker, futuristic skirt suits in black and pink with kimono-style sleeves. Practical it’s not (couture seldom is), but the vivid, frilly gowns deftly show a reverence for origami in their craftsmanship.
