As the matching clutch to the now-famous handbag, the Mulberry Alexa Leather Leopard-Print Clutch can strongly stand on its own. Large enough to stash all of your nighttime belongings, this little guy might be a tad too much for a daytime look. The bold pink leopard-print may be suitable for some, but certainly not all. Such a risky pattern makes us wonder if the success will outlive all the hype and we look forward to seeing what more Alexa derivatives Mulberry has in store for us in the future. It would be so nice to splurge on a best friend with this small, sweet Gucci Heart Shaped Coin Purse. It’s available in silver or white stamped guccisima leather or beige/ebony GC fabric. I always think it’s so nice to have a little piece of luxury, even if you can’t afford a four figure designer purse. It’s hard to make feeding the meter or buying a soda from a vending machine a glamorous experience, but grabbing your quarters out of a Gucci coin purse is sure to make you feel like a diva. A serious stunner of a purse, the Valentino Ricamo Shining Flower Tote is guaranteed to turn heads wherever you take it - if not for its fairly huge size, then for its ostentatious design. Jimmy Choo’s Candy Clutch doesn’t disappoint, living up to its name with a brilliant shade of electric blue and a clean, sleek design enhanced by an angular flap. If you enjoy carrying clutches during the day, this makes a sharp alternative to the usual oversized choices, but it’s also ideal for a night out when your outfit demands something a truly bold accessory. It’s a bit surprising to me to see Coach branch out into a patterned bag. Yes, there have always been the signature C’s (two versions of them now), and they’ve been going a bit crazy with the embellishments on their Poppy line, but this Madison Floral Audrey is a bag that’s actually made of its own floral patterned fabric. The pattern is superb, and just right for spring, and I think the metallic accents are nice, though I wish they were available in a silver/pewter as well. Best of all, the interior lining is a soft lavender, meaning you can actually see what you’re digging for in your purse. I’ll be curious to see where Coach goes with patterned handbags, but it’s good to see them trying something new. Available for $358 at Coach.

So much for budget fashion. Singer Leona Lewis, last seen carrying a low-priced purse from Paul’s Boutique, has now upgraded to Stella McCartney’s designer (but faux leather!) Falabella Bucket Bag. A cousin of the Falabella City Chain Tote favored by Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez, this chain-trimmed purse makes a sophisticated but unassuming statement. But will we soon see Leona with a flashy status bag? Only time will tell.
