I wouldn't burn any bridge! When I was single, I've met a couple of guys I met online and had several people set me up on blind dates. I've been disappointed plenty of times, and vice versa the other party did not see me as the right type for him. I would go for it - just meet somewhere for coffee, that's all. You never know - and I think a LOT of people DO meet their soul mates through someone they know! And that holds true for job-seekers, too. In fact, I was set up with my now-husband!!!
