Don't feel guilty! As a sahm, I used to feel that way, too, but then it turned out that I was staying up until after midnight to finish cleaning up AFTER I made/served dinner, bathed the kids, read them stories (3 each, ugh!), folded laundry... and all the while my dh would retire to the bedroom early and end up asleep by the time I joined him. So for the sake of couple time, I finally convinced my dh that if we helped each other get thru all of the chores together... then we can retire together to bed and talk and ... well, you know! So it's a win-win for both of us, and strengthens our marriage really which then makes it better for the kids.
