back when we were still dating and thought more often about those little things that mean so much, I took a glass cookie jar and filled it with slips of colored paper that I'd finished the sentence "I love..." on. Then I curled the strips of paper using a pencil and filled the jar to the top. I decorated the lid with the words "I love..." and attached a note explaining that everyday he was to read one of the notes to remind him just how much I love and appreciate the things he does.
even the little stuff, like "...the way you scrunch your nose at me when I say something silly" is nice to hear on occasion.
I've also been known to surprise him at work with goodies - cake, cookies, ice cream, or even lunch. Of course, I always bring plenty for him to share.
