Runway Review: Chloe Spring 2008 Designer Purses
By: Erin D.
Somebody’s been taking some origami classes. The supermodel-thin, asymmetrical
clutches in pretty purple, pale blue, and brandy crocodile leather looked as though they’d been created by a waiter at a Chinese restaurant. I found them lovely and delicate, but ultimately impractical unless a) you’re on the “Sex and the City” set or b) able to manage with a single credit card and perhaps a matchbook. Besides the origami-chic bags,
Chloe also showed petite (where’s the beef?)
designer purses featuring layered flaps and buckles (in sweet spring shades like purple, lemon, and peach) with ultra-wide straps. After finding mass appeal with their
Chloe Bay bag, perhaps
Chloe just wants to retreat a little and do the artsy thing.
Ladies, look for next season’s it bag elsewhere.
