Prada Spring 2008 Handbags Runway Review

Got color? The purses shown at the spring Prada show certainly did, brightening the runway in a burst of greens, blues, violets, gold, and oranges. Most of the handbags were bags folded in half to become petite clutches boasting colorful stripes and waves. While it came off as a bit Austin Powers meets kindergarten, the vibrant hues and mod appeal were infectious - and the perfect way to liven up a drab black or white outfit. Glossy gold and black evening bags added a disco note near the end of the show. Who knew Prada could be so playful?
