Go buy the toy anyway, get sexy undies if you want to, call him groaning on the other side of the phone and see how he reacts. Drop the kids off to spend the night with grandparents or send them to a friends house and light every candle in the house. Feed him a decadent dessert and dissappear to your bedroom.
Go shopping for a sexy perfume and hot lingerie... Just do it, don't seek approval beforehand. Get a haircut and a fresh face of make up, he will notice whether he wants to or not. He may say he likes same old you, but every man loves it when his lady suddenly becomes his sexy new girlfriend.
