I think one of the most important things for following a diet and exercise program is being accountable to someone. That way, you don't slack off or cheat if you know you have to tell someone about it. Having a support group or weightloss buddy can definitely be helpful. I know other people who have had success by joining online groups too. I am a member of a site called Healia Communities and they have a weightloss group. It also has a lot of good medical advice, so you can make sure you are losing weight in a healthy manner. It is always good to connect with other people so that you can share tips and help to motivate each other.
