My Bessie has been spayed.When i saw her picture on the HUA website,i knew that i wanted her to be a part of my family.
She was originally from Nebraska and her people(notice i didn't say family) ran a Meth lab out of their house.She was left alone in a cage without food or water for days on end.At a year old,she was pregnant with her first litter of puppies.Six months later,she became pregnant again,but this time she and her pups were taken to HUA(a great shelter/sanctuary-no kill)where four out of eight pups died.So once they were weaned,she became spayed and the rest is history.My husband and i drove 1200 miles round trip from Michigan to adopt her.
Do i believe in spaying and neutering?Yes i do.It breaks my heart to see so many loving animals looking for great homes that don't have a chance because there aren't enough homes for them.I'm sorry,but i could go on forever on this subject.
