We spay/neuter and adopt our pets. I had a friend who took in a stray cat that was preggers (she didn't know at the time she took the car in). We have one of her kittens (she's now almost 10 years old actually). We spayed the kitten before we even brought her home, but my friend didn't spay/neuter the other kittens (or the mom) even though she could afford to - she didn't more or less b/c she was too lazy to make a vet appointment. It drove me nuts and was actually one of the many things that reminded me that this gal was just too irresponsible to remain friends with.
