I'm sorry that your daughter is having a hard time with him, but glad you worked out ok.
I came to America to get married, but he turned out to be violent (never hit me, just threw things, punched holes in things, chased me through the house with a screaming 6 month old in my arms, locked me in the house and took away the key when eight months pregnant). He's a total turd.
When we parted it was because he had tried to hit me, and I got away. He was in a rage, so we left that afternoon and never went back.
He'd always been controlling, never let me have any money, nor would he buy stuff for the baby. Two weeks before she was born, all we had was two pairs of trousers and three t-shirts. Didn't even have any diapers.
I won't go on anymore. Needless to say, he's a jerk and I am glad to be away from him. Nothing is official yet, but I am filing papers as soon as I can get a ride to the court house.
