one of our cats comes when called - so his nickname is "puppycat" because he's not aloof like a cat. if you're in the powder room doing your "thing," he and his sister cat will reach under the door with their paws. we then tease their paws with our fingers as they try to catch us - very cute and thank goodness they're declawed indoor cats! last, when we're sitting on the couch our very loving cavalier king charles spaniel loves to jump on us and give us wet kisses but doesn't stop there - he "hugs" us and then puts his throat over our entire face almost smothering us, staying in that position until we remove him from our faces! it's very endearing, and that's why they're called "comforter" dogs. way back when, ladies brought their cavs in the unheated carriages and the dogs stayed on their owners laps, providing warmth and comfort.
