Default Beauty Items

Are most of your beauty items designer, like Estee Lauder makeup and Elizabeth Arden self-tanner, or do you Duane Reade it from time to time? Are there any must-have generic beauty products? Any ones to avoid?

i also feel that one must not always go by the brand only. it is very important to find out whether the product matches your skin type and whether it will suit you and your lifestyle...being brand conscious is great and more important is what is good for you.
