Default Bikini Wax

I've been contemplating of getting a Brazilian wax or at least a bikini wax, but Im a little apprehensive because of the pain. Is it true that taking Advil or some pill 30 minutes before might help lessen the pain? Has anybody ever done bikini wax?

I'm not sure if you are considering doing this or having it done by a professional, but here are my opinions:

If you are thinking about doing this yourself, pull *away* from the direction of the hairgrowth. That will help to minimize pain. Also another thing would be to take a nice hot bath beforehand then do your waxing.

I would have it done by a professional honestly. They will get it done and over with in a shorter period of time. After the first initial pull it won't be *as* bad. Two Advil before will help.

I've heard that it is better to get a bikini wax done professionally, as opposed to doing it by yourself... especially for the first time.

As far as taking Advil goes, I recommend it. I take advil before getting my eyebrows waxed and it makes it less painful.

I don't think it is as itchy as shaving. The hair seems smoother and to lay more flat as opposed to the coarse feeling after shaving within a day.

I prefer getting a bikini wax over shaving. I haven't been as bold to get the brazilian bikini wax. And YES the bikini wax hurts. but it is worth it because it lasts almost a whole month. It hurts worse the first time you get it done. but as you keep getting it done, it is not as bad.

I wouldn't be embarrased. The first time I am sure it is hard and you will be shy. However, I would definetly have it done by a professional. I did it myself and it hurt like H$ll. I have a professional do it and it wasn't to bad yes, it hurt but not as bad when I did it.

getting it done by a professional means less pain and less work for yourself as well. it will definitely hurt and hurt like hell..believe me but don't do it yourself...it will be very hard for you to even finish it. but yes the results are worth it..also be regular about getting it done once you have started.

a professional wax would definitely be worth it, it is difficult to wax as it is, its messy too so you will really hava a hard time doing it by yourself
