I usually wear all Clinique. However, I am thinking their skincare line isn't all that I need, so I am considering a change in that area. Any suggestions?

MAC and Merle Norman. For skin care, I think Avon is the best. They have come a long way with the introduction of the Anew line. Allure magazine even recommends it and it really does work.

I just ordered the Night Cream and Eye Cream from the Anew Ultimate line (for those of us approaching our mid-40s!!). I also want to try the Anew Alternative Intensive Eye Cream and the Anew clinical eye lift (I heard this one really works-comes in a divided pot, w/gel for the upper eye and cream for under the eye). I'll have to see which one works best for me.
In the past I have used Anew Force Extra and loved it.

According to Avon's latest catalog, there is a "Avon Solutions" Banishing Cream for night and it says it improves the look of existing spots while you sleep.
You can also go to Avon.com and locate a representative in your area, they would probably be better suited to answer your questions, I know my Avon Rep is very knowledgeable about the products. She's been a big help. Good luck!

Well, I'm exchanging the Avon products I bought for a different Avon line. The eye cream didn't seem to help with the dark circles, which is my main concern. I'm going to try the other Anew line, which is more focused on banishing dark cirlces.

Im going to give some advise here... I work at a plastic surgery office... Have you tried going tanning? I know it sounds bad but if you in go in the lowest bed for around 10 minutes maybe once a week or so no matter skin color, we have found that it seems to help getting rid of dark circles.
Tanning indoors in alot safer than tanning outside in the sun. When you are indoors you are in a controlled environment also the ammount of sun time is only for an exact time. So 10 minutes a week will not hurt you!

Hmmm. I used to tan all the time, but haven't in a long time. Now that I'm older (early 40s), I worry about the sun damage and risk of skin cancer. I don't remember when I did tan, if that helped the darkness under my eyes. Maybe I'll give it a try again. Thanks for the advise, I appreciate it.

Anytime! I am happy to give my input! Yeah give it a try, I am not saying go in the strongest bed for a week straight, just something light. pun intended!

I'm quite impressed with Avons bath products, but I've never tried their cosmetics. I mix and match a number of brands with my makeup - I use everything from cheap 'Miss Sporty' lip gloss to Clinique and Mac for other more important stuff. Mascara, for example, I can't bear to skimp on.

I have a mish-mash of different brands in my make-up bag, but the brand I have most of is Boots No7. This is mainly because I work at Boots, and get a staff discount, plus the range is always doing £5 off vouchers. Coupled, this means I get the make-up very cheap!
I do love their eyeliner though - it's the pencil on one end, then on the other is a foam blender, which I find really useful.

I like Revlon for everyday use. They are easy to find (any store) and they don't test on animals.

I think Revlon's packaging looks quite old fashioned; I've never used any of their products before.
Has anyone tried the new Mineral Make-Up? I know L'Oreal has one, and there are no chemicals in it. I tried a tester of the foundation, and it looks like a powder but goes on like liquid. It's quite expensive though.
What about make-up brands to avoid? Are there any?

I love everything Bobbi Brown, except for the face products. For powder/foundation I use MAC.

I love Shiseido and Loreal, but it can get costly sometimes. So I settle with Maybelline, which is also a much cheaper alternative to those brands.
