Default Black Hair

My daughter is biracial and has dry, curly hair. The curls are large and soft, no kinks, and there are many light streaks in her hair. It's beautiful.

The trouble is it is dry like most black hair. I am white, so I am not accustomed to dealing with it. Is there anything you would recommend for a 2 year old? Currently I use Just For Me, or Aussie.

I would use products that are geared for children's hair that you can find in a black beauty supply shop. Africa's Best organic products work well along with PCJ products. We use Hollywood carrot oil on my sister's hair and it's moisturized quite well. HTH! Avoid using products with mineral oil and petrolatum (most of them have it) b/c our hair just sucks it up.

Thank you, yes it does. The only trouble is that the only things I have tried so far have been TOO heavy. They leave her looking like a biker from the 60's

So I need to find the middle ground. I've been using Vive's either the frizz control or the one that is for women of colour, but they stopped selling it locally when the Vive pro range came out. That had some kind of oil in it too but I can't remember the name, and was great.

I've heard good things about Parnevu's leave in conditioner. I'm not sure what's in it, but it worked wonders on one of my friends childrens hair. She's a lot older than your child though - I'm not sure how much difference that makes to the choice of product.
