Sleep
I'm curious, on average, how much sleep people get. I usually don't sleep all that long - I go to bed pretty late, and wake up early. If I sleep more than around 6 hours I'm really groggy all day.
Even so, I tend to sleep on long coach journeys - that really messes my body clock up, but for some reason when I'm bored I get drowsy...
Is that normal?

8 hours is fairly normal isn't it?
I think you've just ended up on a wierd time zone because of your work.
I did that once when I spent ages talking to an australian friend every day. I was unemployed at the time and I ended up living on australian time instead of UK time.

I try to get eight hours of sleep but it is so hard. I find it difficult to go to bed at a decent time. I usually get to bed around midnight but my daughter is up between 6 and 6:30. Argh.....and somtimes I try to take an afternoon nap but then I feel like I am wasting time sleeping when I should be doing something more productive.

A complete sleep for me is 8 hours. But if I sleep less than this, I feel like my brain is not functioning throughout the day and if I sleep more than 8 hours, I feel like as though i'm so tired and restless that I dont feel well the whole day.

Probably five to six, and I am always exhausted. If something wakes me up, its' really hard for me to fall back asleep. And something, namely my cat Cleo, always does.

I have a real hard time falling asleep, so once we go to bed, I lay awake for a good hour most nights. Then, if I'm woken for any reason during the night (child wakes up, bathroom trip, husband's bad dream, etc) then I'm usually awake for another hour. The alarm goes off before 6am, and I'm up for the day. I'd say I get in the 6-7 hour range, probably....it's just not usually a straight solid sleep.

I try to get 8 hours, but have been having the worst time sleeping for the past month. I fall asleep just fine, but then I toss and turn all night. I wish it would stop!

Sleep
Yes. Baby should sleep 20 hours. Children should sleep 10 to 12 hours. Adult should sleep 8 hours. More than 50 years person will sleep 5 to 6 hours. What is your age? Depends upon your age you fix it.

I usually get 8 hours of sleep. I've never had a problem sleeping. I actually enjoy getting a goodnight's sleep.

I think different folks require different sleep hours / times. I feel really bad if I sleep for more than 9 hours. I'm OK on 6 hours.
