Default Chocolate

Let me preface this by saying that I have had a really bad, and long weekend. I have slept barely 7 hours since Thursday, and now my little one is in bed and I am still sat here stressing.

Well I just managed to eat half a bag of m&ms. I'll sure as crap have the guilts in the morning, but at the time.......mmmmmmmm.

Who else turns to chocolate for stress relief and what alternatives have you found to stop this?

Everyone is allowed an attack of the snackies every now and then - just not too often

I'm vulnerable to them too, so I just don't keep too much chocolate in the house. When you want to munch, and the choices are eat something healthy like carrot sticks or grapes, or trek to the store to buy chocolate - what would you do?

I know I'm lazy enough I'll go for the grapes instead....

If it's grapes or the store, then I'll go to bed hungry

Sorry but grapes just don't hit the spot. Now, a tin of corned beef on the other hand....that might just do it, with a litre of Dr Pepper....

Hehe, each to their own I guess

Still, the principle is the same, keep lower sugar snacks handy. With me an attack of the munchies is a desire for taste, or just out of boredom not hunger.

You ARE helping! It's nice to know that I am not alone and I thank you for that! I cap many a meal with chocolate-evening meals anyway. But at least now I have some 'special' chocolate from the UK and that satisfies me in just TWO SQUARES!!! This is awesome chocolate-so good for the figure!

Oh no! I couldn't live with a chocolate allergy! I think I would live on antihistamines just to get my fix!

My favourite is Green and Black's Maya Gold chocolate. It's a fair trade choc from Italy that I used to get in the UK and it is SO rich.

My favourite chocolate at the moment is the Thorntons one with the ginger crystals in it. I only tried it because I had a Thorntons voucher that was due to expire, and now I'm hooked on it!

DianneMK - is your allergy to all chocolate, or are there some kinds you can eat?

I usually enjoy chocolate on Valentines Day and Mother's Day. I still am working on a box of See's since mother's day. I have a hard time eating when I'm stressed. But I tend to over eat at meal time.

Well, with just the Green and Blacks in the house I have been controlling my chocolate consumption. I have only had two squares in the past week! I am happy with that
