Default Cloth Diapers

I realise that most people in today's world care only for convenience. However, there are health benefits to using cloth diapers, and the new styles, like fuzzi bunz are amazingly easy to use-going on with snaps, no pins, and some of them are so cute!

This is one of my favourite diapers that my daughter has;

That one is a kester cover. They wash up easily in the washing machine, and given that I don't drive (and hence keeping up with disposables was a pain in the rear for me) I find them so easy and convenient. They have come a long way.

When my daughters were babies...that is all I used were cloth diapers.They are cheaper to use besides you can wash them and reuse them plus they don't end up in landfills to pollute the earth.Sure they can be a pain to use...but I wouldn't go back to disposable diapers...ever.

i think they're practical and much more environment friendly. cloth diapers should be promoted again.

I can understand the environmentally friendly claim, but what are the health benefits of cloth diapers? Is it just not having bleached, un-natural materials next to young skin, or is there more to it than that?

Sorry if that sounds silly, I've just never heard that there were benefits to cloth diapers before.

There are chemicals in disposibles that can cause allergies in some children-my daughter included. The paper in the nappy can be rought and in and of itself has caused problems-my daughter ended up with a bleeding sore on her leg because of the paper cuff.

Then there is the fact that many parents using paper nappies leave them on too long to minimise the cost. On my parenting board there were women admitting to leaving the child in a wet nappy for up to five pees-six hours in one case. That is disgusting. You don't have to worry about that with cloth.

Cloth isn't bleached and so does not contain or release dioxins into the environment. This could get long, so let me know if you really want more info.

Take a look here for some super cute and easy to use diapers/nappies.

Wow, and erm, ugh.... leaving a kid in a wet diaper that long can't be good...

I didn't realise that there could be allergy problems, I guess we put far too much junk near our skin these days.

Those ones you linked to are really cute Nice to see they're not all plain and boring.
