Default Oily skin and hair

I never had oily skin and hair until I turned 35. It just came out of the blue. It's excessive if you ask me. I have to wash my hair every other day or it looks terrible. My T zone is terrible with oil though I don't get much pimples. There is a good thing about my oily skin though. I don't have much wrinkles. I don't look 40.

But what could have caused the sudden oiliness?

Default Brittle nails

It seems if I leave my nails alone they grow but only a bit. The minute I put polish on them and use polish remover they get brittle and break more often. They're thin too. Has anyone ever used anything that has worked for them to grow out healthy?

I'm not sure what the cause is but it can be from the food you're eating, like chocolates or oily food. I've heard from some people that there are things that you are likely to develop at an older age if you didn't suffer from it in your early life, like acne. I'm not sure if that oiliness is also the same, but I guess you should be thankful at the same time, because you look younger with the oil.

Summertime always makes my skin oily. As for your nails, mine use to do that all the time until I bought clear nail hardener.

I have had oily skin my whole life. I hate it!! Washing your hair every other day? I wish I had that luxury. Every single day of my life. My mother and sister are the same way. I can put m akeup on and an hour later it's already fading. The only upside is that the oilier your skin is, the less wrinkles you have as you age. My mother is 63 and hardly has a wrinkle.

It might be from what you are eating. As well if you are not drinking alot of water it could be effecting yoour skin. I have the same problems. I wash my hair everyday with Head n Shoulders. As well I clean my face 2 to 3 times a day. I use makeup only on my eyes so that way my face dosn' break out.

I don't know what made your hair oily all of a sudden, but I have always had oily hair. Since washing it daily isn't good for your hair, and really styling it every day is very harsh and takes a lot of time, I sprinkle a little baby powder on my scalp to absorb the oil. I then brush it through my hair and put the blow dryer on it for a couple minutes. This gets rid of the oil and gives it body again.

I have done that on occasion, too. When I have gotten up late for work and didn't have time to wash..it really does work well.

My oily skin I used moisturizer cream and my hair I used pantene shampoo + conditioner. It's working very well. You also try.
