Do you tan?
Now that winter is coming upon us, I am wondering if any of you actually use tanning beds?
If you don't, I am looking for some suggestions on really good tanning products for the face and body. I don't care what the price is, I am willing to pay anything for a really good product that isn't streaky/orange in appearance.
Thanks!

Have you thought of Spray Tan. In spray tanning, you are not thrust into a heated room or any enclosed chamber. It is a concept, which is completely chemical in nature. A unique solution is sprayed on to your body using a spray tan machine (something like your deodorant) and this reacts with the dead cells on your body thereby giving your skin that brown hue, which resembles a tan. Infact, it looks so natural that people often mistake it for a natural tan. The Spray tan is a reasonable price as well I only paid $40.

I heard that spray tans make you smell for a day or two. After your spray tan, did you notice that your skin smelled differently?

During the summer months, I usually tan outside. When the weather gets cooler, I find myself using an indoor tanning bed. Despite what people say about the health risks, I think there is something relaxing about it.
Anyway, when using a tanning bed... I like to use the Australian Gold line of tan products. They are inexpensive and work just as effective as any other higher cost products that I've tried.
If you'd like to stay away from indoor tanning beds, I suggest you try using "Hemp Moisturizing Golden Glow." Not only does the lotion slowly give your skin a subtle hint of color, but it also firms your skin. Plus, it doesn't leave behind a funky smell like a lot of other sunless tanners do. I highly recommend trying this product.

Actually no I didnt really notice any smell. I have only used it once as normally in the summer I tan really well on my own. I have good skin and over here in Australia we tend to spend a lot of time out in the sun. I am lucky I dont actually burn and stay red I tend to turn brown straight away.

I used to tan.
In the Winter, I still would if there was a good tanning salon nearby. I wouldn't do it regularly, but it definitley helps with the Winter "blahs". It also helps with bone and muscle pain. I wouldn't recommend tanning regularly, though, due to the health risks.

I would suggest using the spray tanning I think that it looks just as good as going to a tanning bed plus it is much better for your skin.

I don't use tanning beds, but I have used spray tans. The best (for me) fake tan has been a moisturizer with a touch of tanner in it.

Try using Malibu Hemp Golden Glow Moisturizer. It slowly gives your skin a hint of color and also firms.

Even just the jergen's daily glow moisturizer gives a good color, I think.

no tanning beds
tanning beds are sooooooo bad for you. i like airbrush tanning, even though it can be pricey. banana boat also makes a good airbrush spray, and the jergens gradual tan is good too.

Yeah spf 4 is too low, you can try their coppertone dry oil suncscreen spray with spf 15.

Has anyone ever tried the home airbrush tanning kit? I forget who makes it, I think the price was around either 20 or 40 dollars?

Im curious, when you say tan? Do you mean brown? Is it the same thing? Or is there a slight difference in terms of shade since Im Asian and I have a light brown skin.

Oh of course. I've heard its bad when you just go out in the sun, without any SPF, and expecting a tan. I use SPF lotion!

I occasionally like to tan, but I find that there is too much stigma attached to it, and in New York, it's way too expensive! A session in the lowest quality bed can be $15! I like the Jergens lotion, but I find that it makes you smell like soy sauce. Ewwww!

I've used the spray tans and that is the best way to go. If you have a person that knows what they're doing when they spray you, it looks almost as natural as being in the sun and you can get a dark as you want...it also lasts about the same amount of time that a real tan does...if you have a real tan and don't get out in the sun again for 10-12 days then it fades..the same with a spray tan...or at least that's what I've found!
I've tanned for 35-40 years in the summer and got really dark....it doesn't take much for me to get dark and I even use a sunscreen/sunblock or 45 and still tan dark...just in 10 minutes...and I have medium skin and light brown hair!! Go figure.....but now my skin is showing the results of my tanning ways.....

I don't use sunbeds, actually I don't really care about tans at all. I put lots of sunblock on, and usually end up being pretty pale all year round.
If I don't put sunblock on (get caught in the heat for longer than expected) then I don't burn, but I don't really tan either.
I've used fake tans a couple of times at the behest of friends, but they don't stay on my skin very long, and I don't think they look very natural.
