Default Frizzy hair

Any suggestions for frizzy hair?

My hair gets a "poof" to it in different weather conditions...or just when it feels like it (usually when I have somewhere to go).

I like mine to be sleek and straight.

Thanks for any tips!

Have you ever tried using any hair straighteners? I have a Revlon hair straightener for dry hair and it works really well with frizzies. I also have a Remington wet-2-straight hair straightener that you can use on wet hair... it eliminates blow drying, which can damage your hair! It's awesome if you are in a hurry.

I also like using the Brilliant Brunette/Brilliant Blonde hair line. They have a lot of hair serums that take of frizzies.

Kerastase oleo relax range is supposed to be excellent for dry frizzy hair.
I have very fine, basically "straight" hair but it is prone to firzziness and looks wiry - so it looks absolutely horrible without any product.
I have found the following work for me:
1. straightener - this is a MUST
2. Elvive range of shampoo and conditioner
3. Matthew James - Deep Moisture Treatment

I forgot to mention Redken's Be Straight. It tames your frizzies and makes your hair silky smooth!

I also have frizzy hair, thanks for this topic. I also have flyaways. I wonder if straighteners can dry your hair?

I don’t wash my hair everyday and this reduces the amount of frizz. Also, I would recommend using an anti-frizz serum. When you are in the shower and applying conditioner to your hair, run your fingers through your hair to really work in the conditioner.

I have a Remington wet2straight hair straightener. You can use it immediately after towel drying your hair. It steams your hair dry and it doesn't cause any damage or hair breakage.

I use a curling iron on mine hair when I get time and it makes it look so pretty and straight.

A curling iron to make your hair straight? What kind of curling iron do you use?

Yeah, do you mean a flatiron? Some of them look like curling irons.

Kerastase is always great but I think John Frieda is supposed to really be great.

Whenever I get that frizz I use a hair setting lotion and apply to the part where the frizz is. There is also a tip from a site I visited, I just forgot it -anyways, it said that you should frequently rub your hair or always avoid friction to your hair especially after taking a bath, when you're drying your hair with your towel, don't rub it so hard.

I read somewhere that running a little Baby Lotion through or over frizzy hair helps tame it... I've tried it a few times and it worked for me.

does this take longer than drying it tho?? b/c i have A LOT of hair and it takes hours to dry and straighten....and there's always fly aways (i've tried basically everything) and my hair doesn't always stay as straight as in the morning into the nite, no one has ever had a solution that works for me, it's so weird! what else too, my hair's so think that it's too weighed down to have any volume so i feel bored with it! (i swear i have the WEIRDEST issues!!! lol)

I want to buy one of these straighteners but I worry that some of the water will stay in my hair in make it look oily. What do you think about it?

UPDATE!! I got one of those wet-to-dry straighteners and they work awesome! My hair looks silky after using it. I like being able to skip the blow dryer.

I have that problem too with frizzy hair. I normally just pull it up because I don't have time to do anything with it, but when I do I will straighten it. I've noticed that smooth and sleek shampoos and conditioners really work.

My hair gets frizzy easily, and it damages pretty quickly if I use anything on it - it's really fine, and quite annoying.

I got some lotion from the hairdressers that works quite well, you squirt a bit onto your hands and just rub it through your hair - it's meant to be a nourishing cream I think, but I've found it tames frizziness quite well, and gives your hair a healthy shine.
