I have a Revlon hair straightener and a Remington wet-2-straight hair straightener... I like them both, but I've been curious about the Chi Straighteners...
Does anyone own a Chi Hair Straightener? If so, have you noticed that they work better than a lower priced straightener? Is it worth the cost?
I have two Chi straighteners and they are the best I have ever used. I use to buy Conair and Revelon all the time and it was a waste of money, because about 6 months later I ended up having to replace my straightener. The only reason I have two is because I use to have long hair and now my hair is short, so I wanted 1 inch one. It is well worth the money.

I've had my Revlon/Remington straighteners for well over a year. They're still going strong. How long have you had your CHI straighteners?
I wish I hadn't gone the cheap route when I bought my flat iron; I should've just gone for the Chi one in the first place. I think I might ask for a Chi flat iron for Christmas.
whatever you do don't use Easy Straight. It's an at-home straightener. It literally turned my hair into a big rat's nest of cotton candy...was months before i could run a brush through it.
I personally think the Chi flat iron is ok. I had it but mine broke! I use the Sedu flat iron, I think it works better than the Chi. Don't get me wrong, the Chi is very good, but i've seen better.

Has anyone here had their hair -chemically- straightened in a salon? I never thought of trying an in-home straightening application... So, thanks for the tip on that. My daughter wants to try having her hair straightened at a salon but since she is only 10, I don't know how her hair will react. She has a few highlights at the crown.
I have never used one. I have a straightner right now with jade plates, it works really good and it came with a ten year warrenty. How does the wet-to-dry straightner work, I have wanted to try one, so that I could cut down on the time it takes me to do my hair in the morning, but I worry because I am scared the water will stay in and make my hair look greasy.
Where can I buy that Chi Hair Straightener and for how long will your hair stay straight? How much is it, $115? Too expensive for me. =( I'm planning to straighten my natural curls instead of going to the salon but I'm just afraid it might turn into a disaster.
