Whiter teeth

So...I wanna know any ways of how to get your teeth whiter...

I brush my teeth excessively through-out the day, probably more than many others because I hate having weird tastes in my mouth after I eat or drink anything...

I heard baking soda makes your teeth whiter... but I'm not quite sure that's right... My grandma always uses it, that's who I got it from. I tried doing it for 3 days straight and it was just very nasty, I didn't see a whiting change in my teeth what so ever!

So...any good ideas to get your teeth whiter?
