Eyeliner

I always wear eyeliner on the bottom of my eye, but people say it makes your eyes look small? I heard if you put eyeliner on the top of your eyelid it makes your eyes more noticable? What do you think?

I think it depends on alot of things.Such as the color eyeshadow and liner someone is wearing, how thick it's applied and the person's eye shape.

I know if you were white or another eye brightener under your eyes it's suppose to make them look bigger and more awake like. I've seen many girls with eyeliner on top and honestly it looks like crap and there eyes just look over covered and that to me makes them look smaller. So, I personally think it depends on what I said above.

You think wearing eyeliner on the TOP makes your eye look smaller? I always thought people said wearing it on the BOTTOM makes them look smaller? Guess I was wrong.

Well, anyways I usually wear my eyeliner on the bottom, but my boyfriend said he likes it better on top. I don't like it too much on top either.

Yea, on some people it does. I guess it also depends on the eye shape and how over done the makeup is. I'm trying to think of a better way to say what I mean but all I can say is that whole gothic/emo look.Thats what I mean by over covered, dark and makes them smaller and more raccoon like. Hopefully you get what I mean because it's not comming out the way it's meant to this evening.

Personally I hate the whole gothic/emo look. There's a lot of people at my school that are like that. They wear so much make-up you can hardly see their face. It's ugly. Guess they think they look good!

I'm a beauty advisor with Avon and we sell eyeliner for both the top and bottom of the eye. White eyeliner is recommended for the bottom to make eyes appear larger. I haven't tried that myself. I have a lot of allergies (itchy eyes) so don't use a bottom liner.

On top of the eye, use a really thin line of liner as close to the lashes as you can make it. That way you won't get the overwhelming look but it will make your lashes appear to be a lot thicker.

Try using a lighter brown on both top and bottom and see if people notice and compliment. If they don't say anything after a week of trying, then lose it and do it your old way. I find people are a good litmus test of new things, they tell you if it looks good.

i used to work for clinique, and they recommend using top and bottom however a girl i worked with just did it on the bottom i dont know why..but funny though it looked great!!!!!!

Yeah I think they honestly do, and they are so wrong. I don't know who finds that attractive, but to me that is a hideous look, that whole emo/gothic style.
