Default Curling irons

I was wondering what brand of curling irons some of you use. I was using one that was my great grandmothers intil about 2 years ago.It was the best darn curling iron ever!It was a conair. It had interchangable barrels. One was 1 inch and the other was 1/2 inch. It's so hard to find that size anymore and I can't find a curling iron with interchangeable barrels. I would love to find a similar one.My hair is hard to curl and small barrels are the only thing that work for me. I currently am using a CVS brand. It works but not as well as the old one. I can't get the hang of rollers and hot rollers never work well for me.

So, what brand do you use?

I would suggest a marcel iron or spring iron. Check them out by calling Belson products at 888.738.1212.

I know this because I'm an editor for a beauty magazine. I'm not affiliated with any manufacturer, but I do know which professional products are worth your money.

The line of irons (there are two that I know of at this writing) are under the Gold 'N Hot brand and cost about $30 each. The marcel irons come in 1-inch, 1/2-inch and 3/4-inch, and the spring iron comes in 3/4, 3/8, 1/2, 1, 1 1/4, 1 1/2 inch barrel sizes. Both have heat ranges from 200-500F.

While they're not interchangeable, at least you have a wide selection that includes the narrower sizes you're used to using.

Good luck!
