Corn and Calluses

How do I get rid of a corn or calluse in my toe? Will they ever be removed? And how to prevent them? What I only do is to apply petroleum jelly but I think it doesn't work.

i know that there are some products speciafically made to get rid of that problem but i just can't remember what it's called

my sister used to have this problem....i think she treatd it with some over the counter product however i cant remember the name...it did get better though...
