I love vintage Chanel.I look for anything Chanel mostly through thrift stores such as Goodwill but haven't tried Salvation Army stores yet.Have you tried thrift stores?

I haven't yet tried thrift stores, surprisingly. I bought so many items for my house, including deco pieces of furniture, from a local St. Vincent de Paul store but no bags as yet. I should try the ones in Manhattan where I work-you never can tell what some people give away. Great idea-THANKS for the note!!!!

Baseballchick you would be shocked as to what rich folks discard to Goodwill Stores and such.You may be lucky and find a gently, well loved Chanel bag or Gucci bag.I always look.If you find anything worthwhile in Manhattan..please let us know.

It will be my new mission to get to some of the many thrift shops in Manhattan or my area and see if I can hunt down and score some of those bags. I agree-many rich ladies just discard their purses which have lots of life in them. Since I work full time, I will just have to make time, maybe at lunch. I know that there's a nice thrift store across from Lenox Hill Hosp. in Manhattan. I will definitely let you know if I have success. Thanks for the hint.
