Hello everyone.

I'm new to the forum.I was browsing around and noticed some interesting topics. I'm a proud stay at home mom to an almost 15 month old daughter. I'm currently trying to learn how to make purses and totes.A friend of mine makes lovely bags and now I'm finding myself wanting to learn as well.

Hi Luvbunnies42. I just got here myself and can tell already that it's going to be a fun place. I'd love to hear more about the purses you are learning how to make such as what kind and will you be selling them? Hope to hear lots more from you.

Thank you both for the warm welcome. Barbara, I can tell you all are a fun group of ladies and that you all have fun here.

Ozzie, I don't plan on selling the bags. Well, at least not intil I get good at it. I need to work on learning to sew first. Luckily I have a sewing machine being given to me from my mother in law. I'm currently interested in making a bag called a Cheri bag. It's similiar to a little messanger bag. My friend was telling me they can sometimes sell for around 80.00 on Ebay. Good thing it cost less then half that to make some of them.
