I need some advice

Hi! I don't know if this is totally off topic (although there is no topic here), but I just recently started a blog about bags and stuff. i was bored and thought that someone might like to read it. but i am unfortunatelly not getting that many visitors to my blog, so i was wondering if anyone here has good advice on what is interesting to write in a blog like that, or maybe some design advice? Coz i think the pursepage website is really great and i would like my blog to be at least half as interesting as this page hehe.. I'm not trying to make a really serious and professional website, i mean it's just a hobby sort of thing and i write about things that i find as i surf the internet and that i think are interesting..

I truely hope that someone can give me some advice on this.

I just visited your page, and I think you are doing a wonderful job. How long have you had your website? A newer site will tend to get less traffic until word gets around about it. Just keep up the good work, eventually more visitors will come.

or reference it on the net
that s what i ve been told for my nails site
but i don t know how referencing thing works

Add you URL to your signature line in other forums as well as in your emails. This will generate lots of visitors. People will be intriqued to see what the site is.

you can also use search engine optimization methods so more people can visit your site

For some free ad action, why don't you use signatures on forums like these to promote your site? On a...marketing perspective(come on!), though, I find your URL to be a bit too long.

You could always switch your URL while your blog's not famous yet. That's the beauty of the tragedy of it, no?

Anyhoo, make sure to link to other bloggers because they it so much, they'd link to you and it's just gonna snowball from there

Dude, first off, register your blog over at technorati.com. It's a website that tracks blogs all over the web.

Then link to blogs that are established enough (but aren't too established they'd just snub you) and hope they'd link you back when they check their technorati.com profile (which any blogger worth his/her salt should have) and see you're linking to them because they either like you or, at least, have a sense of common courtesy like that.

Then check your blog's technorati.com profile to see if other blogs (blogs that you didn't even link to are the most exciting to see!) are linking to you too. And remember to play nice and link back to them to.

Eventually, your blogroll will increase (and your google page rank, too, which is a fairly complicated concept. if you don't know about it, you don't really have to bother) hence more readers will come to your blog.

And that's it.

Wow, thanks for your great advice! I will do exactly as you say! I have actually joined techorati.com, but i havent really understood how to use it.. anyways, i will start working on my "linking network" right away!
