I wouldn't even know where to start to tell u..

Just keep in mind you get what you pay for..

Also, don't buy off the internet..b/c 9/10 it is a FAKEY!

Fakes now a days have serial #'s too..they are geting really good.

So if you want to make sure your bag is authentic..I say go buy it from the actual boutique..

Good luck

This makes me seriously sick. I hate even thinking about it. I am a Tiffany lover and I have a coworker than constantly buys fake Tiffany and it just makes me so angry.

When I was surfing on line I saw one site created by a self-proclaimed wholesale authentic designer purse expert say that you should never buy LV from anywhere but the official boutiques and department stores because LV only supplies its merchandise through very few and highly reputable stores. I sure hope that eLuxury and Net-a-Porter are two of those reputable stores that LV deals with. I wonder how this can be researched further???

i believe eluxury and net aporter are reliable but also ask around...hehe..i dont want to be TOO SURE!!! maybe you should just get it from the store itself...my LV addict friend goes only to the store and they have a record of her so she gets informed of sales and new stocks...its good to build a record with the LV store

Kitsch - you can do it, hon! Speedy isn't too expensive compared to some of the other couture that starts at $1K like Chanel, Chloe, Lanvin, Fendi, etc!

I think that I'm going to give up on the Chloe Paddy and invest (great word choice!) in the awesome, forever-fashionable and classic LV Speedy myself - maybe for Mother's Day and Christmas I'll just ask for gift certificates from hubby and parents and save up my pennies! Although I have ALWAYS loved the denim speedy... I think I'll just keep my sights on the basic monogram.

In fact, next week I'm taking my mother to an LV boutique because my siblings are chipping in for a bag for her 60th bday! I'm sure I'll fall in love with all those beautiful LVpurses...

oh i have a story to tell u..a friend told me about this.. Louis Vuitton Philippines' main storage had a fire and although the bags were not completely destroyed since they were packed very well, some were a little wet...so news got around that they were going to be sold at a reduced price..when the store asked the headquarters in italy permission to do that...u know what LV did? they ordered that all bags be shredded in front of management for quality control..can u just imagine that?!!? it would have been torture to see all those bags shredded to pieces..this is true!!!!

You can go online to My Poupette.com and the site is all about LV and who sells authentic LV bags. They will even verify whether or not an LV bag is authentic or not (for a small fee-you need to sent them as many pictures as possible) you see on ebay. Hope it helps. Good luck in your search!
