My brother was in the Marines. He's out now. He was on the Silent Drill Team. Let me tell you when he was graduating boot camp at Parris Island (me being a 14 year old girl) I was drooling over those men in the uniform!

My brother eats like a pig and doesn't gain a pound. My brother is so handsome in his uniform. My grandfather passed away the day after 9/11 which was my dads birthday and my brother wasn't able to come home for the funeral. They tried to hold off the services until we knew he could come home.

This sounds mean and all but I'm not that upset about my grandfather's passing. I wasn't close with him. I tried to get close to him so did my brother and sister but he pushed us away. It was his fault not ours. I just wanted to see my brother!

Kelli I hope he gets to come home to see you soon.I will cross my fingers and say a prayer that you get to visit with him .I don't have any brothers, just one sister,so I know the importance of having your family around.

I know what you mean. Every time I look at the clock day or night I always look at it and it says 9:11 I'm not sure what that means... But my husband and I (and I'm sure other people are as well) scared a draft might be brought back. I lost 2 friends 6 weeks apart from each other over in Iraq. The first friend was killed by a suicide bomber but he killed the guy first before the bomb went off. The 2nd friend I had talked to like 3 days before and he was patrolling and was giving Iraqi children candy and was shot in the head by a sniper. They were best friends through out high school and went to boot camp together. It's hard when we lose men and women over there but when it hits close to home it's a whole different feeling.

kitsch - be careful with all that sugar, hon! i was a sugar junkie too but i hated the sluggishness from the lows, and also diabetes runs in my family. so i started by switching from sugar (usually extra!) in my coffee to just splenda. now i've lost my taste for sugar (ok, except in chocolate ) and now i find that diet coke is pretty tolerable. trying to lose 10 lbs. by summer!

kelli - how sweet! your hubby's lucky to have you and vice versa. aside from the good looks and wonderful disposition, does he also shower you with gifts of the designer-bag persuasion???? even if he didn't i'm sure you'd still love him like crazy.

kelli - i can totally relate about being indifferent about your grandfather. unfortunately, we all have relatives who are like that! not being able to love his grandkids was his loss!

i'm also praying for your brother's safe return home. it's wonderful he has a sister like you as support - i can't imagine living every moment (not just day) in fear for your life. god bless him and keep him safe!

at the risk of alienating some folks, i just want to say that i sooo agree with the bumper sticker: "Don't blame me, I voted for Kerry!" In fact, when I own an LV trunk someday, I will put a sticker on it that says, "Impeach Bush!"

My brother is home. He's been out of the service for a while now. My husband found this video called Loose Change about 9/11 and how it was all set up. So if anyone would want the link to that let me know and pm me your email address. I'll send the link to you.

Now....

I'm a chocolate addict, and PC. I buy a ton online and sell too-so that is a bit of an addiction. Not out of hand yet though-only buying things I need.

I guess I'm addicted to travel - I always want to be going somewhere, or at least planning a trip. I get antsy if I'm couped up at home too long.
