Can anyone recommend any good, relatively recent female artists that sing soft pop / ballads?
I have a friend who loves female singers, but doesn't have time to keep up with music. It's his birthday next month, and I'd like to get him something new and that he is unlikely to have heard on the radio over here.
He likes stuff like Tina Dico, Kelly Clarkson, Bonnee McKee....
well i love the new Nelly Furtado CD but that might be a little too jumpy for him since he's a fan of slow ballads..try listening to a few songs of rachel yamagata or kt tunstall..they're really good i hear them on the soundtracks of grey's anatomy and brothers and sisters
