Default Places to go this summer.

Where will you be going this summer? I think I'm taking a trip to San Fransisco.

We are headed to St Pauls and the mall of America. Nothing too exciting but it's to see friends I haven't seen in three years, so I am excited!

Yeah, or in this case I am taking my responsibility with me! Poor kid gets to fly, again, but hopefully it will be less traumatic than last time. She got sick, threw up in the morning before the flight once, and six times on the plane! At 15 months...

It's absolutely wonderful! No agenda. No appointments. Want to nap? Ok. Want to go to the movies? Ok.

Also, we try new restaurants every year plus go back to our favorite haunts. That's also part of the fun!

I'll be going to the Isle of Wight, as I do every year. It's a wonderful place... I really love it there. Here's a website with some fantastic pictures of the Island:

Yeah, the Isle of Wight festival. I think it just happened this past weekend - there was some coverage on the television.

I'd love to go to one - but I don't think I could hack the camping aspect of it!

Doesn't really look like we'll be going anywhere this summer, except maybe a Water Park, but in November we are supposed to be going to DisneyLand for my birthday.

I went to Texas this past weekend and am just planning a few beach trips with my girlfriends. I just started a new job, so I can't really take any time off this summer. I'll just have to save up and go some where good in the winter!

I would love to plan a ski trip! I love to ski, but didn't get to take a trip this past season. The ex-bf was being a jerk about it...which is why he is now the ex-bf!

My boyfriend and I might be going to Key West for our anniversary! I can't wait, I've never been there and it's only a 5 hour drive from where we are!

I've been all over the US, but have never been to New York, California, Florida, Alaska or Hawaii. My goal is to visit every single state in my lifetime, unfortunately like I said I won't be going anywhere this year.

This thread is from awhile ago, but I wanted to see how everyone's trips were (if you've already gone on them) and if anyone has planned new trips. I know I said I wasn't going to go anywhere until the winter, but I am getting antsy! I need to save up before I take a big vacation though.

So, how were the trips? Plan anything new and fun?

Went to Sacramento for a few days. Wasn't much of a vacation since it was for my daughters bowling tournament. However, we are going to go to Hawaii around thanksgiving time.

no where. We have a toddler and it just doesn't seem like a good time to try and travel. So, we're just staying home this summer. We did/do have a few weddings to attend, but they're fairly close - but will at least give us a weekend away from home.

Kitsch, a London trip sounds like so much fun! I love love love London! Actually, I could possibly be taking a little trip there soon myself because I found a great deal on Lufthansa's website-- Washington, DC to London for just $229. I think I could swing that if I could stay at a friend's place over there. I think you're in NYC and I noticed some great deals from there to Europe too. Something to keep in mind for when you find out about your visas!

I'm getting excited, I just need to get a couple friends on board now.
