Default Paris Hilton Released from Jail

Poor Paris has been released from jail due to an "undisclosed medical condition". She'll have to stay on house arrest in her mansion. Boo-hoo. What a joke!

I know, she'll be confined to her lavish luxury home.

She's been ordered to go back to court though, I think the judge objects to this release. Paris Hilton Ordered to Return to Court
We'll see...

Exactly. This makes me absolutely furious! If it were me, I'd still be in jail. Just tells you if you have enough money, you can get away or out of anything. It is disgusting!

She should serve her sentence in a real facility. The discusting part of her getting released is that she wasn't even really in a facility like any other person would be in. She had special treatment to begin with. I am totally and 100% discusted about the whole situation!

The whole thing sounds like a complete farce. I gather she's back in now though? I guess that's good, but how come they even thought about letting her out early? Does anyone know what the medical condition that keeps getting mentioned was, exactly?

I'm glad she had to go back to jail. Maybe she'll learn that money can't buy your way out of everything.

I am very glad she has been ordered back to jail, I somehow doubt she will learn anything from this. I just don't see that she has much of conscience if any.

She has no remorse for anything she does.Just because you are an heiress doesn't make you better than anyone else when it comes to breaking laws and they having to pay the consequences.God forbid she killed someone when she was drinking and driving. Her parents should stop babying her.She needs to seriously grow up.Heck when I was her age,I was already a mom and had no choice but to make adult choices.

I too am glad she's been ordered back to jail - she should be treated like every other person who has committed this offence. Just because she is a 'celebrity' it doesn't mean she should have special treatment.

I've never been a fan of hers, but I think that this latest debacle has proven her true colours.

Well said Dianne! This girl seriously needs a very good and LARGE dose of reality and then maybe she might become at least a half way decent person, but unfortunately I don't see that happening.

Supposedly, she is not going to appeal her 45 days in jail. On IMDB, it says that she has told her lawyers to withdraw her appeals.

I wonder how long that will last.

I'm glad she's back in jail, although, she's in a "hospital". So again, she's getting off easier than us "regular" people would have.
God forbid, but if she would have hurt or killed someone while she was out drinking and driving would the victim/victim's family feel any better because it was a celebrity? I think not!!!! She needs to be quiet and finish the sentence. Then she needs to do something with her life. She may be pretty and have all the material things, but I wouldn't want to be famous for drinking/partying.

I don't think she was treated all that fairly...she was sentenced the the max. I think the judge was using her as an example...I'm not saying that she shouldn't have gone to jail but maybe for a week or something like what other citizens would get. I read that somewhere...

I disagree.Hmmm...drink and drive and get busted for DUI.Get a warning.Drink and drive a second time and get busted.Slap on the wrist.Ignore the law and get caught driving on a suspended license ....get thrown in jail. She got what she deserved. When you are young and rich and ignore all laws just because you don't think you deserve jail time and cry to mommy and daddy to get you out of going to jail...she got what she deserved.I highly applaud the judge for his decision not to give her an early release or spend the remaining time at home on a tether.....give me a break. If that were anyone of us,our butts would be behind bars for more than what she got.
Spending a week in jail....I think not.
****this is only my opinion and I am not mad at anyone****

Actually, that's not true. Most people only spend about 3 or 4 days in jail for the exact same offense. Heck, my friend just got arrested in Los Angeles for assault on an officer and he was out of jail after 4 days.

I had a brother-in-law die in a traffic pile up caused by a drunk driver, regardless of who's right or wrong about sentences being given, it's obvious to me that they aren't strict enough.

It's ok kitsch, it was a very long time ago, I was still a pre-teen, but it did teach me that drinking and driving was not only dangerous, but also morally wrong.
