Default Harry Potter

All right, I admit it, I'm a HUGE Harry Potter geek. I love this series, and cannot wait for the next book to be released (not long now!)

Any other fans here?

Me Too! A couple summers ago, I decided to read the first book to see what all the "hub-bub" was about and I was addicted. Lucky for me, all 6 were out and I got to read them back-to-back. I reserved my book the day it was announced. I can't wait for 7-21-07!!!!
So what do you think will happen in #7? Is Snape good or bad (I think good), do you think dumbledore is really dead?

I think Dumbledore is definitely dead, I have a feeling JK Rowling even said he was.

Snape...I think he is evil. Even if he is proven to be on the side of the Order, he's still bad LOL!!

Other things I want to happen:

Harry to live! Harry and Ginny to get back together. Neville to find happiness. Voldemort to die...lots more too.

Can't wait - not long until the book is out now!

Oh, absolutely. I first read the books quite a long time ago, so it's been a real journey waiting for each book to come out and the anticipation involved. It will be sad when it's all over, but having said that I can't wait!

I'm going with my sisters to a midnight opening of the book shop, and I've even booked the day off work so I'll have time to read LOL!!

I admit I am a Harry Potter junky. It's something I share with my son. We have both read all the books and of course we have forced the rest of the family to sit through the movies.

For hardcore fans, there's a WOMBAT test on JKR's site right now. I have a feeling that when the results get posted, we'll get something from the new book. Here's a link to an article where it tells you how to access the test:

The Leaky Cauldron: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (book 7), Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (movie 5) news, images, videos, podcast and more

Thanks for the link xaphania, I'll have to show it to my son. I'm sure he will love it.

Only thirty days now! I can't wait, especially to end the Snape: good or bad debate. I have a friend who is convinced Snape is good. Me? I think he's definitely bad!

Bring on Deathly Hallows!

I like Harry Potter but I'm not crazed over it. My husband, on the other hand, is counting the minutes until it comes out. He'll probably see the new movie on the first day too.

Oh yes, the film. I keep forgetting that is coming out, as I'm more excited about the book.

I will probably go and see it on the day of release though.

*points at self* Self proclaimed Harry Potter nut here!

My son has waited all this time to see the preview and last night when it came on, he was out of the room. From the looks of the preview they've done a good job.

I LOVE Harry Potter...I work at a bookstore and I'm helping plan our big release party! It should be soo much fun but too bad that I'm not going to be working that night because my cousin gets married on the 21st. So I'll have to get the book on the 22nd :-( I will have to survive. HAHA

This is the last chance to have a release party, as it's the final book!

Anyway, I won't be having a party as such, but just going out to the book shop at midnight. The two previous midnight releases we've been to, they atmosphere in the queue was fantastic, so I guess it did feel a bit like a party.

Has anyone heard of a Hogwart's headache? When reading one of the books I developed a major headache and then I heard that a lot of people experienced this, I'm guessing because the book was so large. They started calling it a Hogwart's headache.

I like Harry Potter as well. For those of you that are in the US there is going to be a Harry Potter theme park opening up in Florida.

I love love love Harry Potter!

I'm not so sure if I'm going to a release party but I'm really going to get the book! I already reserved and paid for a copy. I really can't wait!

Oh, and I hope Hermione won't get killed.

Haha, I've never heard of this. I did get armache from holding Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince - they're heavy books!

Um, here's a quick plug I co-admin a Harry Potter forum, so if you want to talk about the books, or anything really, come along and visit us: The Hogwarts Experience

I hope it's all right to double post, but I just had to make a post about the film!

I went to see it last Thursday, and thought it was so good! I am very picky when it comes to the films (1 & 2 are all right, 3 is dreadful and 4 was better), but this one outshone them all!

I thought they stuck to the book very well, sometimes lifting whole chunks of dialogue from the book. They got pretty much all the important things in, and all of the child actors have improved so much - even Emma "eyebrows" Watson.

Anyone else seen it?

Oh and - four days til the book!
