kitsch shame on you and I say that with affection. Smoking might seem to relieve stress, but in actuality it really is increasing it.

What I love doing after I have a stressful day, is lock my bf out of our bathroom and I turn off all the lights, turn on soft music and have about 10 candles (depending on how big your bathroom is) lit...and have the aromatherapy scents like lavender...that helps so much and it closes everything out and the hot water makes your muscles relax.

dreamr that sounds like a lovely idea, but I think I'd find it more relaxing and fun to lock my husband in with me!

Anything that works and if vanity does the trick then so be it. Glad you stopped, I was concerned about you.

a hot bath, a glass of red wine, a long walk, or just a glass of iced tea and sitting on the porch swing or in the hammock.

When I'm stresses out, I usually take a time off the things that I usually do and rest my mind for a couple of days until I get my head all cleared up and I sleep early too...Even if it means taking the time off work!

When I'm stressed out, I turn on the aircon and watch DVDs all day long.

Sometimes I smoke, but I rarely do that now.

When I'm in acute anxiety nothing much seems to work! But when I just feel overloaded, a good cry is the one and only thing that does it for me. For minor stresses, bubble baths, foot baths, a good film, etc. work for me.

I call my mom and say "This had nothing to do with you and I'm not angry with you, but I just need to get this out...." Then I unload about what is bothering me. Just getting it out there and having someone else to share my stress with helps. I do the same for her when she is stressed.
