apartment or condo

Which would you prefer to live in? What is the difference? My bf and I are thinking of moving and we want to know what we should be looking at.

I live in a 2 bedroom 1070sq.ft. Apartment and I love it!!

I'm not sure. What is the difference between a condo and an apartment? I feel like the words are used interchangeably around here.

I live in what I guess is an apartment. It is in the basement of this old historic town house, but I still have windows. it more like it is on the first level of the house.

Apartment because it's much cheaper.

Condos are the ones in tall buildings (I think). Condos usually have swimming pools, spa, recreation center. I think it's actually like a hotel.

i've lived in both...i like the perks of a condo like what periwinkle mentioned..but apartments feel much more like a home than a condo does...
