I am sure most of you have heard the story of the quarterback of Atlanta Falcons and his participation in a dogfighting ring. Here is a just a portion of the article which can be found:

"The indictment said that in April 2007, Peace, Phillips and Vick "executed approximately eight dogs that did not perform well in 'testing' sessions by various methods, including hanging, drowning and/or slamming at least one dog's body to the ground." Vick also is alleged to have consulted with Peace before Peace killed a losing dog by electrocution in 2003."

I was posting on another forum, and was amazed at the number of people who felt while it was bad, there are much worse things that are going on. To that I reply, it's not a contest. This is horrible! I am and will remain outraged! THis is sick. They basically tortured animals. Then I hear that he is innocent until proven guilty- Well, that's in a court of law, I belong to the court of public opinion, and this man is guilty.
So, what do you all think?

omg that is terrible. he should be locked in prison what he did was inhuman and he should be punished!!

I heard about this but didn't pay to much attention. Now that you have posted more infromation I think it is very sad that people would do that sort of thing. How would he like it if we did those things to him. I don't understand people and I guess I never will.

it's totally unacceptable and I hope that the courts throw the book at him and make him into an example. Just because he's a "celebrity", he shouldn't get any special treatment. What he did was awful and makes my stomach turn. I just don't know how anyone can do that to another living thing.

I nearly cry if I accidently run over a turtle on the road - how can a person knowingly do something so terrible to dogs, just because they aren't good fighters.
