I think golf is for anyone who wants to play and has the patience.Although regular golf is not my speed,I love playing miniature golf.

I play golf occasionally. I wish I had more time to play, but the weekends are pretty much it. My mom plays all the time and has gotten really good. Neither one of us are butch, you would probably call us girlie-girls.

I dunno... they make all those cute miniskirt outfits for lady golfers now, at least you can be stylish while you are being butch!

I would try golf. I don't really have opportunity or means to play, nor anyone with which to play. I think it is a little to spendy a sport for my budget anyhoo. My motorcycles and ATV's, keeping up with my kids in MX, it keeps us good and broke. :teeth:

To answer your question, I don't think it is butch at all. I do however, believe in keeping it Women vs. women and men vs. men, unless it is spouses of course.

Ricci I agree with Bad Kitty. Its not butch.I would rather play golf with my women friends than with a bunch of overly critical men anytime, and so I think golf is a game for just about anyone.I cannot play golf anymore due to a neck injury,in which it has left me limited use of my arms.Hope this helps.

It's not butch at all....if I were to "label" the sport, I would say it's on the preppy side...my mom plays golf..and she's a total WASP.

^^^ Uh.... that is me in that pic and nobody ever thinks I am butch. I think it is a silly misconception of my mother's generation. My hair is usually shorter than that, but my daughter wanted me to grow it for once, so I am growing it for the last time ever! It is just past my shoulders and I am already losing my mind! I hate having long hair! I am too complicated to have complicated hair to worry over.

Chop the hair, play golf, drink beer! Do what you like, just don't start belching aloud and cursing... then we may think you butch. LOL

I like to play golf on some weekends,it's a great way to 'take a walk trough the green'.Also it's a very comfortable sport, you can take a shot, zip some juice, then go to the ball with your fellow player,chit-chatting on whatever pleases you.I wouldn't call it butch for ladies as I wouldn't call it sissy for men. It's just a relaxing way of spending time.

Definitely not butch.

I think I get hit on more at the golf course than I do in clubs. Love wearing the little outfits too.

Check out this article for some cool clothing lines.

Totally agree! I always get checked out when I go to the driving range, probably because I'm one of the only women there though. It just goes to show that some men do like athletic women.

I pick up a general theme here that golf is no longer a gay womens sport. I think I would really like it

Even though my hair is very short, I am not a "butch".

I never knew that Butch meant gay woman, until this one time I went in a lesbian hair salon by mistake...and told her I wanted a haircut that looked kinda butch. well she wanted to kiss me! Ewwwwwww!!!!!!! I paid her and got the heck outta dodge!

What an interesting point, I wonder if the pros think of this when their sponsors write them a check for $5 million....

you guys are too funny!

And yes, its very true pretty in pink. Its also funny when they assume that because your female you need help or instruction so they come over to offer help. That gets on my nerves a bit, but I love watching their mouth drop when I take that first swing and then thank them for thier tips. lol

I remember one time I asked a guy how many hole in ones he got so far because I had only got the one and wanted to know if that was good. He turned around and walked away, lol.
