Did you see video of the police escort Spears had on her way to the hospital this last time?

I find it hard to believe all that was necessary.

I think it was, those papa's are such vultures and would willingly run anyone off the road for the shot they want. My GF nanny's for a prominent family in the area and the father gave her a can of pepper spray after being shoved to the ground, with her charge(his kid) and locked in stores with celebs, chased for pics... you name it.

After the last incident when she had the misfortune of being in the same general vicinity as Brit, she pepper sprayed a couple of them and left. It happened again, she got taken to court and the judge dismissed the case. They know her and stay away now.

They are so relentless, she needed the escort IMO.

Hey Bad Kitty, thanks for shedding some light on that. I agree there is a need for a police presence in a case like that.

I still wonder if they needed the two police helicopters in addition to the more than a dozen motorcycle officers and two police cars, as described in the Reuters article here:
