Question Teak wood refinishing question ???

Hey girls, I have a question for you. I have a piece of teak furniture thats kinda weathered.....sun, water, sun, water, and its just kinda in need of some TLC. I want to know what to do about it, and I dont know much about taht stuff, but this place seems to be a wealth of information and I was wondering if anyone knows how to treat teak wood? does anyone know where I might find more information on teak refinishing???

There's a product called TeakGuard that's marketed for boats.

I wonder if it would be good for furniture that's been messed up with water and lifting veneer?

Teak gaurd..... Hmmmm. Sounds interesting. its for boats hey?

Ya know, I have this friend named Harold that is big into boats and I asked him about about it, and he said he didnt know a thing about teak restoration.....funny, I thought he would be the guy to ask seeing he is such a boat fanatic and such.

See this is a chair, so I wonder if the boat stuff would work in it......?

Is all teak the same?

Ricci, I cant throw it out! its an heirloom! Got it from my uncle Jim in FL.

Maybe that Harold guy doesn't have any teak on his boat. Maybe it's one of those new fandangled ones that only has Fibreglass

I think that there is a Tompson Water Sealer out there for Teak.

I would try the local hardware store. They usually carry most everything. I went there a few weeks ago to find some high-tack glue for one of my projects around the house and they had it, unlike the arts and crafts store...

Girls, I think you let teak age naturally. I look at teak the same way I look at myself.

With age, comes a more natural beauty.
