careful buying sunglasses bea. Going for a name brand like some silly californian can simply net you a lighter pocketbook and less protection for those beautiful eyes that go along with that thin face and high cheek bones.

COCO Chanel for the win!!! I like LV shades too, depends on what you like when you try them on. Be sure they have UV protection.

I have always loved Oakleys. They have really come along nicely in the past few years with making their sunglasses more feminine and a little less sporty. I like my sunglasses for their function, not only fashion and these seem to be a nice blend of the two. Oakleys lenses are just more clear than anything else I have found. Also, polarized sunglasses is a necessity for me. My husband LOVES waterskiing and the glare off of the water can be horrific. Good Luck with your search Aunt Bea

You are right romy, oakleys are definitely more feminine these days.
Probably marketing to the feminization of the US, but they are definitely more feminine for sure.
Trouble is, their quality is suspect. Maybe oakley is at the end of their life cycle?

Well, so be it. I visit another foum sometimes and allof us have pics of ourselves posted. This seems to be a very nice forum and I do not think it would do any harm to post a picture. Maybe buy the new sunglasses, put them on and then post up.
Darlin', you're missing out. Root oil is exactly what you need.

I second that. I really appreciate them for reducing the glare from windshields and chrome. I'm also surprised how helpful they can be while driving in fog or snowy conditions.

I think as long as you look for what fits your face in a style you like you should be good to go. I usually go for anything that is tortoise shell regardless of what is popular.
Classic look like that never goes out of style.

I think the shape of the glasses really depends on the shape of your face. I have such a hard time finding sunglasses that go with my head, so I stick to two trusty pairs that I know look good: a pair of large black Chanel frames, and a pair of tortoise shell Dior....between those two they go with everything.

Romy, is your man a male model type? Just wondering about the fascination with the oakley marketing machine.

No, my husband's offshore raceboat is sponsored by Oakley. We get all of our sunglasses for cost, plus they pay him to attend and bring the boat to special events.

Well Romy, as you know I am disenchanted with oakley quality, but if they were sponsoring me, I'd prop them too.
He should let you wear them though and then he can go get some man glasses, if ya know what I mean .
